Obama Predicted to Win Second Term
As a reader of my blog, you know that I have already given my prediction for the outcome of the upcoming 2012 presidential election. I made the prediction that Obama would win a second term based on author Allan Lichtman's book, titled "The 13 Keys to the Presidency," back in November on these very pages.
If you are a new reader to my blog, my first encounter with Professor Lichtman was back in the days when I was a political talk show host on WSPD radio, in my hometown Toledo, Ohio. When I interviewed Dr Lichtman on my show, he successfully predicted the election of Bill Clinton over George Bush Sr., eight months before the 1992 election. Boy did I ever get a lot of hate mail from my fellow Republicans after that interview. Now mind you, that was pre-tea party days!
Well, last Sunday, Professor Lichtman was a guest on the Lou Show, an Arizona based radio program, where he predicted that Barack Obama will easily waltz into a second term in 2012.

Now as a staunch conservative, who has been called a "liberal" several times by radical "tea party" Republicans, simply because I don't subscribe to their enforcement only immigration reforms, or out-dated social agenda, this interview is going to make them go crazy! I suspect they will call Lichtman an "elitist," or a know-it-all liberal professor," and attempt to elevate the current crop of Republican hopefuls to something greater than they are.
But at the end of the day -- the science behind Lichtman's system will prove to any non-believer-- to be quite sound as the Keys successfully predicted Ronald Reagan and George W Bush's victories several months in advance -- before the first vote was ever cast.
Here is how the Keys work: If eight or more of the thirteen keys line up in favor of the incumbent party, the party in power stays in power: if seven or fewer of the keys line up in favor of the incumbents, the White House changes hands. It's that simple.
The Keys have accounted accurately for the results of each of the 37 presidential elections held in the United States since 1860. So forget the polls and forget the pundits as the Keys are 37 for 37, and as of this date, Obama has 10 Keys in his favor. That gives him a three key buffer -- no matter who the Republican nominee is.
One final note. In his interview on the Lou Show , Lichtman points out that "nothing is impossible," but it is highly unlikely that a Republican will win the White House in 2012.
That is why we Republicans should begin a massive focus on taking back the U.S. Senate. Because no matter who is in the White House, so long as Harry Ried remains majority leader -- much needed reforms to ObamaCare, or entitlement and deficit spending will remain only a pipe dream for another 4 years.
Paula, I disagree. Obama can be defeated. Look at the economy, high gas and food prices, looks like the 1980 election again.
History is not on Obama's side. No Democrat president except one has every been reelected since FDR. That was Bill Clinton.
If you back the "Dream Act" you're not a "stanch conservative."

Sorry ms -- It's not looking good for Republicans taking the WH this election. Their tent has become very small. And are you saying that supporting, or not supporting the Dream Act is the litmus test for ones conservatism? Are you suggestion mass deportation of all the illegals in this country? If so, you are out of the mainstream once again on this issue as the cost would be in the billions. So I ask -- who is the staunch conservative here? Me, or someone like you and your radical anti-immigrant rhetoric?

Paula, Reagan made a huge mistake when he signed the immigration bill back in the 80's that granted amnesty to illegals. It just caused more illegals to come here. Passing the Dream Act would do the same thing.
If you study history past presidents in the 20th century had illegals deported so it can be done.

Even Reagan would admit amnesty was a mistake. No where have I ever suggested we repeat the same mistakes as Reagan.
